Billions worldwide are gathering. Home, as temple, winking with golden lights. Flames full bright from the purified butter that feeds them.
Necks and wrists garlanded with powers of gold. Pulse points consecrated with deep acting oils. Cloth of all colour that shimmers newly worn.
Celebrants of cosmic lore compelled to shine forth. Age after age, year after year, beginning after ends.
No matter one’s caste or creed. Whether Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist, believer, non-believer. Woven into the continuum of an every day way of life, is the recognition and invitation for personalised attunement to Nature’s inborn Intelligence.
And so it is that at 0 degree concurrence of the Sun and the Moon, there is a synchronisation of polarities, a union of opposites, a harmony of brain waves so beatific that this eve of holy hours, Dīpāvalī or Diwali, has long been equated in India with victory!
Victory in legend, myth, codes, life goals alike. Victory of unity in diversity celebrated variously—east, west, north, south.
